The HelioPro solar hot water system is centred around the HelioFlow solar collector by SolarisKit which is purpose-designed for use on flat-roof buildings. It’s distinctive prismatic aesthetic with modern materials and British engineering provides a sophisticated, efficient and reliable solution to traditional solar water heaters.” Be it a new build villa, a hotel in a hot climate, or green building renovation, HelioPro, is performance, without compromise.

Existing Solar Water Heaters Aren’t Suitable for Flat-Roofs

The majority of the traditional solar thermal systems available on the market, like flat-plate or evacuated tube heat collectors, have been developed dozens of years ago and seldom consider the special demands of flat-roof construction. They can be clunky, ugly and overheat in hot conditions – problems that SolarisKit aimed to address.

Old solar water solutions like the flat-plate collector shown here are designed for sloped roofs, not flat-roofs.

SolarisKit HelioFlow collector has a unique patented prismatic geometry and is self-stabling on flat surfaces. But the QSun won’t require a complex frame mount, or large tilting brackets all thanks to its compact design, and angled internal tubes that will capture the sun’s rays all day. The result is installation that’s easier, faster  and more visually pleasing  on today’s modern flat-roof homes and hotels.

HelioFlow doesn’t operate only on flat roofs  it was built for them.

Designed to Avoid Dangerous Overheating

In the hot countries like the UAE, Qatar or Kenya, conventional solar water heaters have the overheating problem. When hot water is not being used, evacuated tube and flat-plate systems can overheat to dangerously high stagnation temperatures in summer.

In addition, HelioFlow’s polymer absorber material has a critical thermal advantage, it has a built-in control of peak temperatures. Thereby protecting pipes, seals and tanks from heat stress, the cause of most system failures. The result is a more reliable solar water heating system with a longer life  even when the water usage is low or no one is using hot water for a day or two.

The collector is environmentally friendly for this reason and for the further reason that no scale, deposits or corrosion can occur on its surfaces, which allows for long-term reliability as well.

Compatible with Hard Water

It is quite easy for a solar thermal system to become overweight on hard water. Deposit of minerals in copper [or referring to base-metal] absorbers, fouling the pipe work, decreasing metabolism, and increasing service charges.

SolarisKit gets around that with a polymer based absorber which is less prone to scaling than traditional metal designs. This material choice means that the HelioFlow collector stays efficient and does not get scale buildup, even when installed in an area with hard or mineralised water.

By designing our system to work effectively in where other systems fail- from the gulf region to some areas of East Africa the HelioFlow system is the solution.

That makes it suited for villas, resorts and residential blocks where water quality is frequently unreliable or unfiltered.

Unlike other solar collectors which use metal absorbers, the SolarisKit HelioFlow solar collector is made using an engineered polymer, better suited for hard and mineralised water.

Clean, Sleek Design for Added Value

The SolarisKit HelioFlow collector and HelioPro range areoutfitted with aesthetics in mind. Asymmetric, angular shape Adopting the same max-flow line, a HelioFlow system looks natural in modern architecture. It doesn’t compromise the scenery of flat-roof villas, and upscale hotels. In fact, it enhances them.

This is an important distinction compared to large open exposed flat-plate collectors or fragile glass vacuum tubes that can damage the aesthetics of the roofline. The HelioFlow design transforms the solar collector from a blot on the landscape into a talking point  with appeal for developers and architects vying for high-spec green builds

Plug-and-Play Simplicity

HelioPro solar hot water Included in the HelioPro solar hot water packages are the HelioFlow and a pre-packaged hot water cylinder and controller, plus good looks and high performance. Flat-pack delivery format aids in easier logistics and lower emissions during transport for the installer.

HellioPro systems are the solution that MEP engineers and facilities managers can confidently specify, as they can rely on the fact that they are specifying a durable, low-maintenance solution. Because it offers fewer mechanical components, no fragile glass tubes, and superior thermal and mineral resistance, HelioPro significantly lowers the life-cycle cost of solar hot water systems.

This quieter product shines in a market where durability is no less important than power.

Aligns with Net-Zero and ESG Goals

It’s not just the cost-savings. It’s about building better.

British Innovation with Global Appeal

Designed and made in the UK, and certified with Solar Key Mark, SolarisKit’s product is a new generation of solar thermal system. Breaking the mould of tradition and simplicity, the HelioFlow system delivers high quality and cost-effective solutions for contemporary developments around the world.

And with a modular design and the strength to export and locally assemble, the design may be set for greater prevalence across emerging markets. Weather you are inventing smart villas in Dubai or eco-resorts in Zanzibar, HelioPro is the flexible, forward thinking solar water heater to consider.

Designed for the Future’s Flat Roof

Flat-roof design is gaining in popularity in warm regions, fuelled by contemporary styles, urbanization, and new building techniques. But so far, solar water heating hasn’t kept up with these changes.

That’s what SolarisKit’s HelioFlow and HelioPro systems aim to change.

On solving decade-old engineering problems, (over heating, scale, complex installation) SolarisKit and created the next generation solar water heater designed for future energy efficiency buildings. A pragmatic approach Towards a combined optimal solution of power, performance and aesthetics is what makes helioPRO for any thoughtful developer or consultant preferred.
