“We purchased 4 x solar collectors for our jacuzzi J-275 located in Alicante Spain. The collectors were easy to assemble especially after doing the first one. We had them mounted on a gazebo roof directly above our hot tub in an array. We used two L-shaped brackets to fix them to the roof with lots of silicone around the base. After the installation we experienced a storm with very high winds, the collectors stayed in place without any damage. The collectors gradually raised the temperature on average 1 to 2 degrees each day April to June depending on how much the sun shined during the day. By July with the ambient temperature in the high 30s it was too hot so we turned off the collectors until September because we like the water temperature to be cooler, around 35-36c maximum in summer. The whole system has been totally reliable and easy to use with a on / off button at hand on the controller. The control box and pump are mounted in the shade out of the intense sun and expect the system should be reliable long term. We estimate the system will easily pay for itself in 2 years. The SolarisKit solar collector is the world’s first flat-packed, self-assembled solar collector.
Our patented flat-packed design makes it easier than ever to ship and install your solar hot water system. Our solar collectors take around 20-30 minutes to assemble with no tools needed.
After assembly, simply place somewhere sunny (e.g. roof) where they absorb solar energy and convert to heat. The heat can then be used for a wide range of applications reducing energy costs and carbon emissions.
