SolarisKit has joined forces with Jacuzzi UK to trial its latest innovation the SolarisKit HT100 a solar thermal heating system specifically designed for hot tubs. The pilot installation was carried out just outside Birmingham, on the personal hot tub of Jacuzzi UK engineer, Adam Tomlinson. This trial marks an exciting step forward in testing real world performance and long-term energy savings.

The installation was completed in just one day by SolarisKit’s installation manager and renewable energy expert, Kris Aitchison, who travelled from Scotland to personally oversee the setup. The HT100 system, consisting of four SolarisKit S400 solar thermal collectors, was fitted seamlessly into Adam’s Garden.

The collectors were thoughtfully integrated into a landscaped rockery area beside the hot tub, allowing the pipework to be discreetly hidden within existing garden features. This not only ensured optimal performance but also preserved the visual appeal of the outdoor space a key priority for many hot tub owners.

A happy customer

“The install was really straightforward and looks brilliant in the garden” said Adam. “What’s even better is the energy saving I’m already seeing. The system has made heating the hot tub much cheaper, especially when the sun’s out. It’s been great to see how solar thermal can really support something like this.”

The start of a long term partnership

This project represents more than a single installation. It is the beginning of a broader collaboration between SolarisKit and Jacuzzi UK. With the addition of sensors and real-time data logging, the system enables both companies to continuously monitor solar gain and energy consumption throughout the year. This will provide valuable insights into how the HT100 performs across different seasons and weather conditions in the UK.

“We’re really excited about this partnership with Jacuzzi UK,” said Kris Aitchison. “It’s a fantastic opportunity to demonstrate the versatility of solar thermal technology. The HT100 is simple to install, cost-effective, and efficient and this trial gives us the chance to back that up with real-world data.”

For Jacuzzi UK, the collaboration reflects a growing commitment to sustainability and energy efficiency. As energy costs continue to rise and customers seek greener alternatives, solar heating systems like the HT100 offer a practical way to reduce operating expenses without compromising luxury or comfort.

With the system now up and running, both SolarisKit and Jacuzzi UK are looking forward to evaluating its performance over the coming months. Early feedback and results from Adam’s setup are already positive, hinting at a cleaner, more energy-efficient future for hot tub heating.
