SolarisKit Solar Hot tub Heating Solution (Part 2)

Our HT100 Solar Hot Tub Heating Kit includes:

  • 4x S400 Solar Collectors.

  • 1x Solar Controller (IP67 Rated).

  • 1x 10W Pump.

  • 2x Temperature Sensors.

  • All power cables required.

  • All fittings and piping required.

Whilst we recommend at least 4 Solar Collectors to heat your hot tub, our solar collectors are scalable and easily linked together to make solar harvesting arrays. As such, if you would like to increase the solar output of your system you can add collectors to your array. The kit shown above includes enough piping to accommodate more collectors.

Using 6 collectors, we were able to heat our hot tub from 19.1°C to 32.5°C in under 8 hours with almost zero running costs. Our collectors were able to harvest 33.65kW of energy from the sun and heat the water up by 13.4°C (that’s 1.75°C per hour): demonstrating a similar power output to a traditional 3kW heater over 10 hours. The very next day, the hot tub was heated from 28°C to 35°C. Both results show that the collectors can do the bulk of maintaining the temperature of your hot tub, which you may choose to top up a few extra degrees using a traditional heater if required.

The Solar Hot Tub Kit starting price is £699. Once you have purchased our Solar Hot Tub Heating Kit, the only running cost incurred will be from the pump - amounting to less than £16 per year. Therefore, comparing the capital cost of the HT100 kit (£699) against the running costs of a traditional hot tub heater (£844.48) over a year, using the HT100 Solar Hot Tub Heating Solution is a more sustainable and affordable option. With the HT100 Solar Hot Tub Heating Solution you can leave it to run itself using its Solar Controller which will control the pump and only run it when there is sufficient energy from the sun, no more switching your hot tub on/off whilst increasing your energy bill. Just leave the HT100 to harness the power of the sun and maintain your hot tubs temperature whether you’re home or not, at minimal cost , especially in times like this where energy prices are increasing.
